What material are the tiles made of?
Our tiles are made of genuine ceramic, just like traditional Dutch tiles. Your photo or saying is printed crisp and sharp onto the tile, in classic Delft Blue on a porcelain-white ground.
Which sizes are available?
The tiles come in 15×15 cm and 20×20 cm (XL). The XL size gives more room for detail in your photo or a longer saying.
How long does delivery take?
Every tile is made to order: production takes 24 to 48 hours. Including shipping, orders within the Netherlands usually arrive in 2-4 business days.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping within the Netherlands costs €4.50 for a 15×15 cm tile and €5.00 for the XL size. Order for €40.00 or more and shipping is free.
Can text be painted onto my photo tile?
Yes. On the photo tile you can have a name, date or short line of text painted in, in the same Delft Blue style as the portrait. You enter the text while personalising your tile.
What is a text tile?
A text tile is a tile with words only: your own saying, quote or family wisdom in elegant Delft Blue lettering with a traditional border. You design it yourself on the text-tile page.
How do I hang or stand the tile?
When ordering you can choose a tile stand or wooden tile holder (to stand it up) or a hanging system (to mount it on the wall). Note: a wooden holder sits over the bottom edge of the tile — if you choose text along the bottom, the holder may partly cover it.
Can I return my order?
Our tiles are made especially for you from your photo or text. Under Dutch consumer law (Civil Code art. 6:230p), the right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to personalised products. If your tile arrives damaged we’ll of course send a free replacement — see our returns policy.
What if my tile arrives damaged?
Let us know as soon as possible (ideally within 7 days) by email, with photos of the damage and the packaging. For demonstrable transport damage we’ll make and ship a new tile free of charge. You don’t need to return the damaged one.
How can I pay?
You can pay securely with iDEAL, Bancontact, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Klarna, among others.
Can I give the tile as a gift?
Absolutely — a personalised tile is a lasting gift for a birth, wedding, anniversary or new home. With the XL size you can also add gift wrapping.
Which photo works best for a photo tile?
A sharp photo where the face (or faces) is clearly visible works best. While ordering you see a preview of the result straight away, so there are never any surprises.
