1. Who is responsible?

YourDutchTile is a trading name of MakeMe (VOF), based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands (CoC: 42053845, VAT: NL869495689B01). MakeMe is the data controller for the data you share via this website. Questions? Email support@yourdutchtile.nl.

2. What data do we process?

• Design data: the photos you upload and the text you enter for your tile.
• Order data: name, email address, delivery address and phone number (for delivery updates).
• Payment data: payments run entirely through our payment provider Stripe; we never see or store your bank or card details.
• Website use: limited analytics data to improve the website, subject to your cookie preference.

3. What do we use your data for?

• Making, producing and delivering your tile (performance of the contract)
• Communication about your order (confirmation, shipping updates, customer service)
• Legal obligations, such as the tax retention requirement for invoices
• Improving the website (only with your consent for analytics cookies)

Your photos are used solely to make your order. We never use them for advertising and never share them with third parties, except with our production partner to print your tile.

4. Who do we share data with?

Only with parties needed to fulfil your order, under data processing agreements:

• Our production partner in the Netherlands (printing and shipping your tile)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Our hosting and email providers (website management and transactional emails)

We never sell your data to third parties.

5. How long do we keep your data?

• Photos and designs: as long as needed to make your order and to provide any replacements in case of damage. After that they are deleted.
• Order and invoice data: 7 years (statutory tax retention requirement).
• Customer service correspondence: no more than 2 years after resolution.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, and the right to object, to restriction and to data portability. Email your request to support@yourdutchtile.nl; we respond within 30 days. Not satisfied with how it’s handled? You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

7. Cookies

We use functional cookies that are needed to run the website and your basket, and (only with your consent) analytics and marketing cookies. You can adjust your preference at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.

8. Security

All connections to the website are encrypted (HTTPS) and access to your data is limited to staff who need it to handle your order.
