What makes a good housewarming or moving gift?
Something about their address, not about homes in general. Candles and plants arrive from everyone; the map of the street they are leaving or have just bought arrives once. It is also the one gift that does not get in the way between the moving boxes.
Should I choose the old address or the new one?
Both work. The old address is a keepsake and often lands harder, especially for a house someone lived in for years or grew up in. The new address is a congratulation and goes straight on the wall. Unsure? Many people give the old address at the farewell and the new one at the housewarming.
How precise is the map?
As precise as you like. Zoom from a few streets to a whole city and drag the map until the spot sits exactly right. You can place a pin, heart or little house on the exact address. What you see in the preview is exactly what we print.
Will my street be on it?
Almost certainly. The map data comes from OpenStreetMap, the free world map maintained by millions of volunteers — from a new estate in Almere to a village in the French Alps. New streets usually appear within a few weeks.
How fast will the tile arrive?
Production takes 24 to 48 hours, then the tile goes in the post. Order about a week before the move or the housewarming and you are usually comfortably on time.
