Tile saying
First coffee,then emails
Work & colleaguesA sequencing rule for the first hour of the working day. Opening the inbox before the first cup means answering as somebody you have not fully become yet, and everyone knows one person who does it anyway.
- Baked into the ceramic, not printed on top. Colourfast and waterproof.
- Arrived damaged? You get a free replacement.
Where this saying comes from
A modern desk joke, not an old maxim, and it works because it borrows the shape of a procedure — step one, then step two — from actual workplace instructions. The comedy is in treating it as compliance.
When to give it
For the shared office kitchen, a new starter’s desk, or the manager who sends messages before seven. It is small enough to be funny and pointed enough that people quietly start following it.
About this design
Square corner blocks nod at a spreadsheet grid, which is the right joke for a tile about email. The playful marker lettering undercuts that immediately, so nobody mistakes it for an actual policy.
