Tile saying
And they livedhappilyever after
CelebrationsThe last line of almost every story read aloud at bedtime, borrowed for real people. Using an ending as a beginning is the whole trick, and at a wedding it lands every single time.
- Baked into the ceramic, not printed on top. Colourfast and waterproof.

Where this saying comes from
A closing formula of English fairy tales, standard in printed collections from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries onwards. Formulaic endings like this one helped listeners recognise that a told story had finished.
When to give it
A wedding, an engagement, or a significant anniversary. It also works for a couple who took a long time to get there, because the phrase makes no claim about how straightforward the earlier chapters were.
About this design
A flower wreath frames three lines the way an illustrated storybook page frames its last sentence. The elegant script does the fairy-tale work, so no extra corner decoration is needed.
